Are you a seasoned Azure Cloud Engineer with a passion for designing secure, scalable infrastructure and enabling digital transformation in large-scale environments? Join a major NSW Government transformation program and play a pivotal role in supporting the onboarding of S/4HANA and deployment of cloud-based applications in Microsoft Azure.
To be successful for this role, Please ensure you have a tidy, readable resume reflecting on the following skillset:
- Proven expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud platform, including architecture, deployment, and governance
- Strong experience in ExpressRoute, network design and firewall/NSG configuration
- Familiarity with implementing security controls, managing compute, storage, and backups
- Experience in scripting with Terraform or similar IaC tools
- Identity & Access Management experience
- Track record in vendor management within cloud delivery contexts
- Strong experience in application hosting and migration to Azure
- Ability to provide ongoing operational support post-deployment
Highly advantageous but not essential skills:
- Experience leading cloud delivery in large SAP (S/4HANA) environments;
- Experience within NSW government agencies;
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and support cloud solutions in accordance with Microsoft and application best practices
- Ensure security controls are in place before migration, aligning with Agency Cyber Security Forum
- Manage cloud vendor services and deliverables to ensure compliance with timelines and standards
- Support deployment of S/4HANA and agency-specific applications on Azure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure with business requirements
- Provide ongoing post-go-live support for cloud-hosted workloads
