We are seeking an experienced Benefits Manager with strong financial acumen and proven expertise in benefits realisation, financial modelling, and program performance reporting to support major transformation and service delivery initiatives.
  
This is a high-impact role suited to a commercially minded professional who can operate at both a macro strategic high level and a micro analytical detailed level, translating financial and operational data into clear, evidence-based insights that drive decision-making.
  
Essential skills:

  • Extensive experience in benefits management, benefits & value realisation, and financial management / reporting
  • Demonstrated knowledge in Benefits Realisation & Management, Financial Modelling, Program Financial Reporting, Business Case Development and Budget Forecasting
  • Strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and program financial performance
  • Solid understanding of ERP systems and financial management frameworks (SAP experience highly desirable, but not essential)
  • Strong grasp of Capex vs Opex structures, funding models, and cost-benefit analysis
  • Experience in financial modelling and business case writing
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, plain-English insights for executive audiences
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience in accounting, audit, risk management or financial management environments
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, Commerce or related discipline (CA / CPA desirable but not essential)
  • Government experience is welcomed but not required.

  
The Role

As Benefits Manager, you will:

  • Lead the development of program financial and benefits plans, including forecasting models and performance tracking frameworks
  • Deliver advanced financial modelling and benefits realisation analysis to support business cases and investment decisions
  • Provide high-quality program reporting, financial analysis, and budget performance insights
  • Analyse and forecast both Capital Expenditure (Capex) and Operational Expenditure (Opex)
  • Support funding management, savings initiatives, and efficiency targets
  • Contribute to business case development, investment justifications, and executive reporting
  • Provide expert advice on procurement planning and financial governance
  • Work across stakeholders to ensure financial decisions are data-driven and outcomes-focused
  • Improve and maintain financial reporting processes within ERP environments (SAP highly regarded)
