Frontend Developer (Azure Web Apps – React / Flask) – JavaScript / TypeScript

• Urgent and immediate start;
• $1000 to $1300 per day depending on relevancy of experience;
• Initial contract till end of June with prospect of renewal;
• Mostly WFH with Wednesdays in office in Sydney CBD;
• Work on cutting edge cloud data technologies;

Essential Skills:

• Immaculate communications and stakeholder management skills;
• Proven expertise in frontend development using React and/or Vue
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS (including preprocessors like SASS).
• Experience deploying web applications on Azure Web Apps or similar PaaS platforms.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or Azure backend services.
• Knowledge of modern build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite) and version control (Git).

  
Desirable Skills:

• Understanding of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or containerisation (Docker) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Neo4j;
• Familiarity with Flask Framework;
• Familiarity with other Azure functions such as MS Fabric;
• Familiarity with Snowpark in Snowflake

 
As a Frontend Developer, you’ll design and develop dynamic, responsive web applications using React, integrate with Flask-based APIs, and leverage Neo4j for graph-based data interactions, all hosted on Azure Web Apps. You’ll collaborate with backend developers, data scientists, and product teams to deliver seamless, high-performance user experiences.
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain responsive, interactive frontends using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Deploy and manage web applications on Azure Web Apps, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Integrate React frontends with Flask APIs for efficient data exchange and application logic.
• Work with Neo4j to query and visualise complex graph-based data in web applications.
• Collaborate with designers to implement intuitive, user-centric interfaces.
• Optimise applications for speed, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for streamlined deployments.
• Stay current with React, Flask, Neo4j, and Azure advancements to drive innovation.
