The Opportunity
We are seeking a Pega Administrator / Pega System Administrator to support and maintain enterprise-scale Pega applications within a complex, multi-system environment.
This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in Pega Admin Studio, L2 Production Support, incident/problem management, performance monitoring and platform stability across Pega 8.x or Pega Infinity environments.
You will work closely with development, architecture, integration and infrastructure teams to ensure highly available, secure and scalable Pega platforms aligned with enterprise standards.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 4+ years’ experience in Pega Administration / Pega Support / Pega Development
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Pega Admin Studio
- PDC (Pega Diagnostic Cloud)
- L2 Production Support
- Incident & Problem Management
- Experience managing:
- Node restarts & server management
- Queue Processors & background jobs
- Email/File listeners
- Understanding of PEGA guardrails and performance optimisation
- Exposure to:
- REST / SOAP integrations
- API & MQ messaging
- SQL databases (Postgres / MSSQL)
- Experience supporting CI/CD deployments and DevOps pipelines
- Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Pega Cloud 3)
- Strong understanding of Agile / Scrum delivery models
Highly Regarded but not essential
- Certified Pega CSA or CSSA
- Experience within NSW Government, Banking or regulated environments
- Exposure to ABAC / RBAC security models
- Experience generating operational and audit reports (Pega BIX)
- Experience in case management applications and enterprise workflow automation
Key Accountabilities
- Administer and support Pega Platform (Pega 8.x / Pega Infinity / Pega 24.x)
- Perform platform monitoring using PDC (Pega Diagnostic Cloud), Admin Studio, Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace
- Deliver L2 production support, incident management and problem resolution
- Monitor and manage:
- Nodes and clusters
- Queue Processors & Job Schedulers
- Email & File Listeners
- Broken queue items & exception workbaskets
- Support CI/CD pipelines and production deployments (Pre/Post TVT checks)
- Troubleshoot performance issues and optimise workflows
- Support cloud-based Pega environments (Pega Cloud / AWS EC2 / CloudWatch)
- Collaborate across Agile delivery teams to ensure secure, stable releases
- Assist with minor enhancements and configuration-first improvements
Key Challenges
- Supporting mission-critical Pega applications in regulated environments
- Balancing rapid issue resolution with long-term platform stability
- Managing dependencies across vendor-managed Pega platforms
- Monitoring high-volume case management workflows
- Ensuring SLA compliance and minimal production disruption
- Operating within complex integration landscapes (REST, SOAP, MQ, APIs)
