Power BI Principal Developer – Azure Power BI Visualisation Senior Engineer

• Urgent and immediate start;
• $800 to $1100 per day depending on relevancy of experience;
• Initial contract till end of June with prospect of renewal;
• Mostly WFH with Wednesdays in office in Sydney CBD;
• Work on cutting edge cloud data technologies;
• Key transformation within Information Management practice;
• End-user Organization;       

Essential Skills:

• Extensive development experience across Power BI Dashboards and Reports as well as Power BI Data Visualisation;
• Hands-on experience with Advanced SQL in writing stored procedures and complex queries to extract data from large and complex data sources;

  
Desirable Skills:

• Detailed Experience in design and writing of DAX queries;
• Detailed experience with Azure cloud products and Data Factory;
• Experience with Snowflake backend;
• Familiarity with Azure WebApps;

 
You are a wizard performing magic when it comes to Power BI visualisation. You know the product back to front and are able to work with various stakeholders to create outstanding and impressive GUI reports, dashboards and data visualisation.
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
• Translate business requirements into intuitive and visually appealing data visualisations.
• Optimise data models and DAX queries for performance and scalability.
• Integrate Power BI with data sources like Azure SQL, Excel, SharePoint, or other cloud platforms such as SnowFlake;
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Provide training and support to end-users to maximise Power BI adoption.
• Stay current with Power BI updates, features, and best practices to enhance reporting capabilities.
