About the Role
  
We are seeking a Procurement Advisor to support and advise the Director of Procurement and Procurement Manager across one of four critical focus areas:
  

  • Category Management
  • Supplier Excellence
  • Policy & Governance
  • Strategy & Continuous Improvement

  
You will lead procurement initiatives, guide stakeholders, and ensure the department achieves value for money while aligning with social and environmental objectives. Your contribution will directly support the department’s procurement accreditation and innovation goals.
  
Key Responsibilities
  
Manage and deliver end-to-end procurement projects

Provide expert advice to business units on procurement best practices

Lead category and supplier engagement strategies

Support policy development and governance frameworks

Leverage data analytics and procurement systems to enable insights

Prepare reports, submissions, and stakeholder communications

Contribute to cross-functional procurement initiatives and skilling
  
Key Challenges
  
Driving consistent value while maintaining compliance and probity
Navigating sensitive, confidential procurement matters
Analysing complex datasets across multiple platforms for decision-making
  
What We’re Looking For
  

  • Demonstrated experience in public sector procurement or commercial procurement environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and advisory capabilities
  • Knowledge of NSW Government procurement frameworks (highly desirable)
  • Ability to interpret policy, analyse data, and support strategic procurement objectives
  • Proficiency in procurement tools, spend analysis, and reporting
