About the Role
  
Our client within NSW government and transport space is seeking a highly organised and analytical Program Officer to support complex programs with a focus on infrastructure, network resilience, and multi-stream technology initiatives.
  
You will play a critical role in delivering robust reporting, leveraging financial numeracy, and utilising Power BI to provide actionable insights as well as organising project schedules and progress and also some project management activities as well.
  
  
Skills & Experience
  

  • Experience as a Project Coordinator / Program Coordinator within large complex organisations and portfolios;
  • Detailed experience in all aspects of project coordination, resource planning, budgeting, status reporting, PMO analysis;
  • Detailed project coordination skills such as project risk identification, issue resolution, project scheduling and requirements traceability;
  • Detailed experience in working with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft word, Excel Spreadsheets;
  • Strong financial numeracy, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present it clearly.
  • Familiarity with program governance and reporting requirements in complex, multi-stream programs.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and present insights.

  
Highly Desirable
  

  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including dashboard creation, DAX, and data modelling.
  • Experience in infrastructure, network resilience, or technology programs.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, PRINCE2, or PMP).
  • Familiarity with other reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel, or SQL).
  • Experience within NSW government and/or Transport industry;

  
  
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive program reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness to support stakeholder decision-making.
  • Analyse financial data to track program budgets, forecast costs, and identify variances.
  • Create and manage interactive dashboards and visualisations using Power BI to communicate program performance and insights.
  • Support program governance by preparing reports for compliance, risk management, and audits.
  • Collaborate with multifunctional project teams to gather data and ensure alignment with program objectives.
  • Assist in gap analysis to identify areas for process improvement and efficiency.
  • Contribute to business case development by providing financial and data-driven insights.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across program documentation and reporting systems.
