We are currently seeking an experienced ICT Quality Assurance Engineer to join a major digital transformation program delivering modern cloud-native applications across web and enterprise platforms. The role will support testing activities across modern React front-end applications and Java Spring Boot backend services while ensuring systems meet high standards of reliability, performance and quality.
This is an excellent opportunity for QA professionals who enjoy working across both manual and automated end-to-end testing, contributing to the delivery of scalable digital platforms used by large numbers of customers and businesses.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in ICT Quality Assurance / Software Testing
- Demonstrated experience performing both manual and automated end-to-end testing
- Experience developing test cases, test scenarios and executing test scripts
- Experience with Playwright test automation framework (preferred)
- Experience testing React / ReactJS front-end applications
- Exposure to testing Java Spring Boot backend services
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
Highly Desirable Skills
- Experience working in NSW Government or Revenue NSW environments
- Background in Java testing frameworks
- Previous software development or coding experience
- Strong SQL skills or database testing experience
- Understanding of Java development environments
- Experience testing enterprise or large-scale digital systems
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end testing across web applications and backend services
- Develop and execute test cases, test scenarios and test plans
- Conduct manual testing and automated testing across front-end and backend systems
- Design and maintain automation scripts using Playwright or Selenium
- Validate React front-end components and UI functionality
- Perform testing of Java Spring Boot backend APIs and services
- Analyse requirements, user stories and technical documentation to create effective testing strategies
- Work closely with developers, product owners and Agile teams
- Produce test documentation, test reports and defect analysis
- Ensure testing activities meet delivery timelines and quality standards
