Are you a seasoned Solution Architect with deep CRM expertise (Salesforce preferred, Pega also considered), strong integration knowledge (MuleSoft) and the confidence to advise senior stakeholders? This is a rare opportunity to shape a major multi-year digital modernisation program and lead the architectural direction of a new enterprise-wide CRM/BPM platform.
Fair Trading Digital is undertaking a significant transformation program — and we’re seeking an exceptional Salesforce / CRM Solution Architect to take ownership of technical discovery, solution design, integration strategy, and legacy decommissioning across the portfolio. You’ll also oversee other lead architects and guide high-performing digital squads to deliver a modern, future-proof digital ecosystem.
This is a hands-on solutioning + advisory role suited to someone well-spoken, well-presented, commercially mature, and driven to deliver outcomes. Government experience is beneficial but not essential.
What You Bring
- Strong CRM expertise (Salesforce preferred, Pega also considered)
- Solid integration knowledge — MuleSoft essential
- Proven experience in solution discovery, platform build and system cutovers
- Background in large, complex organisations (government not required but preferred)
- Experience leading digital squads and collaborating across business & technology
- Strong communication, documentation and stakeholder advisory skills
- Ability to work autonomously with speed, flexibility and quality
- Understanding of modern practices in AI, workflow automation, integration, and digital platforms
What You’ll Be Doing
Program Strategy & Discovery
- Define, document, and maintain the whole-of-program solution architecture
- Recommend legacy replacement approaches and support business case development
- Contribute to program-level reporting, funding submissions and technical discovery
Platform Ownership
- Own end-to-end design of the new CRM/BPM platform
- Architect data models, reusable integration patterns, and system interfaces
- Optimise platform security, scalability, performance and alignment to enterprise standards
Leadership, Delivery & Team Enablement
- Lead and mentor architects and engineers across multiple squads
- Drive architectural velocity and ensure delivery against roadmap targets
- Build a high-performing, self-organising engineering and architecture capability
Risk, Quality & Governance
- Identify and mitigate technical risks across the program
- Drive architectural reviews and ensure high-quality standards are met
- Embed security, privacy, accessibility, reliability and reusability into all designs
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary technical liaison for delivery, business and executive teams
- Communicate design decisions, trade-offs and technical direction clearly and effectively
- Oversee vendor technical engagements and ensure alignment
Transition, Cutover & Decommissioning
- Lead data migration, cutover planning and legacy system retirement
- Ensure readiness for go-live and compliance across all architecture components
Hypercare & Operational Readiness
- Help design the hypercare and long-term support model
- Ensure service continuity, operational ownership and stability post-launch
