SAP BODS Principal Data Migration Analyst – BusinessObjects Developer / Engineer

To be successful for this role, your CV will need to reflect on following skill-set:

• Strong command of English (written and verbal) and strong stakeholder engagement skills;
• Detailed & recent hands on experience with SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) in development and administration;
• Detailed experience in data profiling to assess data quality and identify discrepancies or gaps;
• Experience in Design and implementation of data transformations using BODS;
• Experience with business rules and logic to transform raw data into target format;

  
Detailed knowledge of Data Extraction & Analysis, Data Transformation, Data Loading, Error Handling, Data Quality Assurance, Documentation and Reporting, and collaboration and Performance Optimization is essential to succeed in this position.
  
 
Key Responsibilities

• Data Extraction & Analysis: Extract data from diverse sources (databases, legacy systems, cloud applications), perform data profiling, and collaborate with stakeholders to define migration requirements and mappings.
• Data Transformation: Design and implement complex data transformations using BODS, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with business rules.
• Data Loading: Develop and execute BODS jobs to load data into target systems (databases, data warehouses), validating post-migration data integrity.
• Job Scheduling & Automation: Create and schedule automated BODS jobs, ensuring efficient and timely execution.
• Error Handling & Troubleshooting: Identify, analyze, and resolve migration issues, implementing robust logging and monitoring.
• Data Quality Assurance: Conduct validation checks and collaborate with QA teams to ensure accurate, complete data in target systems.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed migration documentation and provide status reports with progress metrics and issue resolutions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with functional analysts, data leads, and project managers to align with business needs and recommend BODS best practices.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize BODS job performance to enhance efficiency and reduce processing times.
