Our client a large NSW government organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in property data and valuation to join a high-profile project that is shaping the future of property information services.
You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders, technical teams, and data specialists—ensuring solutions meet industry standards for accuracy, compliance, and usability.
Must Have skills:
- Proven background in property data analysis, valuation processes, and market data interpretation.
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst in complex data-driven projects.
- Understanding of property data models, geospatial concepts, and valuation workflows.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work on weekend / after hours on occasion.
Desirable skills:
- Experience with Pega workflow automation or similar BPM/workflow systems (e.g., Appian, IBM BPM).
- Knowledge of databases (SQL) and ability to query, analyse, and validate datasets.
- Exposure to spatial data systems, GIS tools, or property data platforms.
- Demonstrated understanding of Oracle / Azure databases
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with business units to understand needs, gather information, and analyse requirements, producing Needs Analysis documents that clearly define issues, proposed improvements, and expected benefits for the spatially enabled workflow platform (Valnet III).
- Engage with stakeholders to review current operations and workflows, creating process and information models to identify and prioritise opportunities for improvement.
- Lead the creation and documentation of business requirements in line with agreed methodologies, policies, standards, and architectures, securing formal stakeholder approval.
- Prepare business cases and support the development of High-Level and Detailed Requirements Specifications to guide the design and delivery of solutions that achieve targeted business benefits.
- Contribute to testing activities by developing test strategies, plans, and scripts, and assisting with IT test execution to ensure solutions meet requirements.
- Analyse issues and stakeholder feedback to produce actionable insights and recommendations that improve services in alignment with business strategy and user needs.
- Ensure high-quality analysis and documentation to provide a robust foundation for future system enhancements and operations.
