The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior PEGA Developer / Lead PEGA Engineer to design, build and support enterprise-scale PEGA applications within a complex, multi-system environment.
You will work closely with Architecture, Integration, Infrastructure and Delivery teams to ensure scalable, performant, configuration-first PEGA solutions aligned with enterprise standards and guardrails.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 8+ years’ experience developing enterprise PEGA applications
- Strong hands-on experience in PEGA BPM, workflows, case management and decisioning
- Solid understanding of:
- PEGA guardrails
- Performance tuning & optimisation
- Enterprise Class Structure (ECS)
- Integration patterns (REST / SOAP / Kafka)
- DX API / Omni-channel frameworks (desirable)
- Experience delivering within banking, financial services, government or regulated environments
- Proven ability to work across multi-system, cloud-based and policy-driven environments
- Strong collaboration skills across architecture, integration and infrastructure teams
- Experience working within Agile / Scrum environments
- Exposure to DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines and cloud migrations
Highly Regarded but not essential
- Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA)
- Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA)
- Experience with Pega Constellation
- Experience supporting large PEGA platforms in production environments (L1/L2 models)
- Background in cloud migration or enterprise transformation programs
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain scalable, high-performing PEGA BPM applications
- Implement business requirements using configuration-first PEGA best practices
- Ensure compliance with PEGA guardrails, enterprise architecture standards and code quality frameworks
- Develop reusable Enterprise Class Structures (ECS) and modular architectures
- Deliver solutions across complex integration landscapes (REST, SOAP, Kafka, APIs, connectors)
- Support deployments across cloud and vendor-managed PEGA platforms
- Drive performance optimisation, stability engineering and CI/CD alignment
- Collaborate within Agile/Scrum delivery squads
- Contribute to design reviews, documentation, governance and DevSecOps processes
- Balance feature velocity with long-term scalability and maintainability
