This is an exciting opportunity to work in a cross-functional Agile team, designing enhancements for the Strata Hub, a platform recognised for its user-centric approach. As a UX/UI Designer, you’ll drive intuitive, accessible, and visually stunning user experiences that align with NSW Government guidelines.

 
Essential skills:

• Extensive, local and recent expertise as a UI / UX designer and developer at senior level;
• Demonstrated experience in User research / User journey;
• Proven success designing and shipping end‑to‑end UX/UI for complex digital products (government or large‑scale platforms ideal).
• Expert Figma skills plus strong hand‑coding ability in HTML, CSS & JavaScript / Bootstrap.
• Deep understanding of responsive design, cross‑browser testing and performance optimisation.
• Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA and human‑centred design research methods.
• Confident communicator who can explain decisions to technical & non‑technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable in fast‑moving Agile teams and adapting to shifting priorities..

  
Your Day-to-Day:

• UI Design & Prototyping: Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma, ensuring accessibility, brand consistency, and visual appeal.
• Interactive UI Development: Transform mock-ups into engaging, functional web interfaces.
• User Experience Optimisation: Enhance performance across desktop, mobile, and tablet devices, validated through usability testing.
• Collaborative Development: Partner with designers, product managers, and developers to deliver cohesive user experiences.
• Responsive Code Implementation: Build dynamic, mobile-friendly interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Bootstrap.
• Cross-Browser Testing: Ensure seamless experiences across major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
• Information Architecture & Accessibility: Refine site structure and ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
