We are seeking an experienced Manager Project Development to join a high-profile infrastructure program delivering a major transmission line project. In scale and complexity, this program is comparable to some of the largest projects delivered in Australia, with multiple workstreams, high-value packages, and a broad stakeholder environment.
This is not a traditional end-to-end project management role. It is a position for a commercially minded and highly capable infrastructure project professional who can step into critical parts of the program, identify issues, unblock challenges, drive outcomes, and keep delivery moving in a fast-paced environment.
You will be joining a team focused on solving complex project issues across various stages of development and delivery. This role will suit someone who thrives in large, complex infrastructure development environments and enjoys working across different project segments where strong judgement, stakeholder engagement, and execution are essential.
About you
To be successful, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in project development, project management, or major project delivery within infrastructure
- Background in transmission lines, utilities, road, rail, transport, civil, or comparable major capital works projects
- Proven experience working on large-scale, multi-million-dollar projects in fast-moving and complex environments
- Strong problem-solving capability, with the ability to move into different parts of a program and quickly add value
- Excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to operate as a strong project generalist within a complex infrastructure setting
- Exposure to governance, delivery coordination, risk, and issue resolution across large programs
- Change management exposure will be viewed favourably
- Experience working on NSW Government projects
- Previous involvement in projects such as WestConnex or similarly scaled infrastructure programs will be highly advantageous
Key responsibilities
- Provide project development and project management support across a major infrastructure program
- Step into priority areas of the project where issues, delays, risks, or delivery roadblocks need to be resolved
- Work across multiple project segments rather than managing one project from start to finish
- Drive outcomes across large-scale infrastructure projects
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams, delivery partners, consultants, contractors, and government stakeholders
- Support decision-making by identifying risks, constraints, cadence and dependencies, and practical solutions
- Contribute to project planning, coordination, governance, and stakeholder engagement activities
- Assist with change-related impacts and project adjustments where required
- Communicate clearly and effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups
