Join a large and complex organisation as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, supporting and modernising a substantial hybrid technology environment.
This is a highly technical, hands-on infrastructure role with a strong focus on on-premises Microsoft technologies. You will support an environment of approximately 400 Windows servers while contributing to major server lifecycle, virtualisation, patching, vulnerability remediation and disaster-recovery initiatives.

This opportunity will suit a self-sufficient senior infrastructure engineer who enjoys taking ownership of complex technical problems and can operate effectively across infrastructure operations, projects and Level 3 support.

Essential experience

  • Infrastructure incident and ticket ownership
  • Working collaboratively with cyber security teams and technical vendors

Highly regarded but not essential experience

  • ITIL Foundation certification

What you will be doing

  • Engineer, administer and support enterprise Windows Server environments
  • Upgrade, migrate, decommission and remediate Windows Server workloads

  • Administer and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP and Group Policy
  • Support on-premises Microsoft Exchange Server

  • Investigate and resolve complex Level 2 and Level 3 infrastructure incidents
  • Take ownership of ServiceNow infrastructure tickets through to resolution
  • Monitor infrastructure health, availability, capacity and security
  • Participate in disaster-recovery exercises, recovery testing and failover activities
  • Liaise with technology vendors and specialist engineering teams

Working arrangements

The team generally attends the Parramatta office one day per week, usually Thursday, with the remainder worked remotely subject to operational requirements.

Occasional travel to data-centre locations in Silverwater and Wollongong may be required (i.e. once every few months). The role also includes participation in a rotating on-call roster, potentially approximately one week in every three.
