We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer with strong ICT procurement and NSW Government procurement experience to support complex, high-priority procurement activities in a fast-paced public sector environment.
This role is ideal for a procurement professional who understands Buy.NSW, NSW Government procurement frameworks, eTendering / Opportunities Hub, ICT Services Scheme, Core& / Core and, ICTA / MICTA contracting frameworks, and can confidently guide stakeholders through compliant, well-documented procurement processes.
Essential skills and experience
- Strong ICT procurement experience, ideally within NSW Government.
- Demonstrated experience with Core&, ICTA / MICTA, Buy.NSW, eTendering / Opportunities Hub and NSW Government procurement processes.
- Experience managing end-to-end tender processes across complex procurements.
- Strong knowledge of NSW Government procurement policies, probity, governance and compliance requirements.
- Advanced stakeholder engagement, influencing and advisory skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and audit trails.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and document management tools.
- Experience supporting or mentoring procurement officers and administrative support staff.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and support end-to-end ICT procurement activities, including RFQs, RFTs, tender documentation, evaluations, approvals and contract award processes.
- Provide expert advice on NSW Government procurement frameworks, policies, probity and compliance requirements.
- Work with stakeholders to define procurement needs, manage competing priorities and drive practical commercial outcomes.
- Apply knowledge of ICT procurement frameworks including Core&, ICTA / MICTA, NSW Government ICT Services Scheme and Buy.NSW processes.
- Identify procurement risks early and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, audit trails and governance files.
- Support active contract management and supplier engagement activities.
- Assist procurement officers and support staff to deliver timely, compliant and high-quality procurement outcomes.
- Prepare, review and manage procurement documentation using Microsoft Word, Excel and document management systems.
